Slippage in Pepegun – what it is and how to set it
Slippage is the room you give the price to move while a trade is on its way to the network. In Pepegun it is 10% for every trade by default. Raise it for fast tokens, lower it if you want tighter control over the price.
How it works
A few seconds pass between your tap and the trade's execution. During that time other traders can move the price. Slippage tells the exchange: «execute only if I get no less than at the current price minus this many percent».
- The price moved no further than the slippage – the trade goes through.
- The price moved further – the exchange cancels the swap and returns the money or tokens to your wallet. You see «Slippage 10% was not enough – DEX returned …».
A small slippage protects you from a bad price, but trades fail more often. A large one almost always goes through, but the price may turn out worse.
How to open
⚙️ Settings → 🍌 Slippage.
Row names are on the left, percentage buttons on the right. Tap a percentage to change it.
Rows
| Row | Where it applies | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Buy | buys on DEXes: DeDust, STON.fi, TONCO, the moon.cx pool | 10% |
| Sell | sells on DEXes | 10% |
| Sniper | every new snipe (a copied snipe keeps the original's slippage) | 10% |
| AutoSniper | the starting autosnipe slippage on a venue, set when you first open its settings | 10% |
| Memepad Buy | buys of tokens on a launchpad curve and stonks pump tokens | 10% |
| Memepad Sell | sells of such tokens | 10% |
The «Buy» and «Sell» rows (or «Memepad Buy» and «Memepad Sell» for launchpad tokens) set the slippage a token card opens with. They are also filled into a new limit order: the buy slippage for a buy order, the sell slippage for a sell order.
How to change it
- Tap the percentage in the row you need.
- The bot sends the prompt «Enter the slippage percent (0.01 - 100%)» with the buttons 1% 5% 10% 15% 20% 30% 50% 100%.
- Tap an option or type your own number from 0.01 to 100, for example
7.5. The % sign is optional.
The screen shows the new value at once. 🪣 Reset brings back 10% in all six rows.
Slippage of one card
The token card has a 🍌 Slippage 10% button. It changes the slippage of that card only: 5%, 10%, 20%, 50% or your own number from 0.01 to 100.
The card's value applies to buying and selling on it until you open the token again. It does not change your settings or other cards.
Good to know
- The pool fee and the token's tax are already accounted for, you do not need slippage for them.
- For freshly launched tokens, where the price jumps every second, 10% may not be enough. If you see «Slippage … was not enough», try raising it on the card.
- 100% means you accept getting as little as anything. Only use it if you understand the risk.
If something goes wrong
- «Slippage 0.01–100%. For example: 10». The bot could not read a number, or it is below 0.01 or above 100. Type just the number, for example
15.
