Pepegun fees – what trading costs

In short

The bot has one fee of its own: 0.3% of the trade, but at least 0.01 GRAM. Everything else is the network's charge (gas) and the pool's own fee, which everyone trading on TON pays.

GRAM is the main coin of the TON network. The bot counts and shows every fee in GRAM.

The bot's fee: 0.3%

TradeBot fee
Buy for 1 GRAM0.01 GRAM (minimum)
Buy for 10 GRAM0.03 GRAM
Sale that brought in 250 GRAM0.75 GRAM
  • How much. 0.3% of the GRAM in the trade: of the GRAM spent on a buy, of the GRAM received on a sale. If 0.3% comes to less than 0.01 GRAM (trades up to about 3.3 GRAM), 0.01 GRAM is charged.
  • When. After the network confirms the trade. The fee goes as a separate transfer from the same wallet that made the trade.
  • How to see it. In the wallet's history it is an outgoing transfer with a comment like «🔫 Pepegun fee · DeDust · …»: the venue's name and the trade's number.
  • If the trade did not go through, for example the DEX returned the money, there is no fee.
  • Which trades. Every swap in the bot: by hand from a token card, limit orders and TP/SL, copy trading, snipes and autosnipe. On every venue, including tokens on a bonding curve.
  • Which not. Transfers through 💸 Send carry no bot fee, only network gas. More in Send GRAM and tokens.
  • Not part of the trade amounts. The swap card, positions and PnL show the trade itself, without the bot's fee.
  • If the wallet is short of GRAM for the fee, the bot tries to charge it again later, including at the next trade from that wallet.
  • The fee transfer itself costs a little gas too, paid by your wallet.

The bot gives part of its fee to the people who invited the trader: the referral programme. It does not make your trade any more expensive.

A wallet connected through TonConnect

If your wallet is connected through TonConnect, the bot's fee is a second message in the same request you approve in your wallet app. You can see it before you approve.

  • On a buy it is counted from the buy amount, on a sale from the expected proceeds.
  • It goes together with the trade, so it is charged even if the DEX later returns the money for the swap.

Network gas

Every operation on TON costs a little GRAM: this is gas. The network takes it, not the bot, and the wallet making the operation pays it.

  • Keep a little GRAM in the wallet on top of the trade amount. If it is short, the bot says so: «Not enough GRAM: this operation needs at least … GRAM (amount + gas)».
  • Even a failed attempt can cost gas. The bot then says «Only the gas of … was charged» or «no funds were charged except the network fee».
  • When the bot says «+ network fee», it means gas.

The pool fee

Every pool on an exchange takes its own fee from a swap. It goes to the exchange and the liquidity providers, not to the bot. The bot counts it in when it works out how much you will get.

  • On a token card it is the line «LP fee: 0.25%» (the number depends on the pool).
  • Some tokens have their own buy and sell tax. The card then shows a line like «🅱️ 1% / 🆂 1%».
  • In limit orders the bot says where the pool fee is counted: «💸 Pool fee 0.3% – on top of the order price» on a buy or «taken from the proceeds» on a sale.

Slippage and price impact are not fees. They show how far the price may move during a trade.

The token launcher

Creating a token has its own price, which the bot shows before you confirm:

  • a standard token: 0.16 GRAM + network fee;
  • a remint (minting more tokens): 0.1 GRAM + network fee;
  • each change to the token's data, and revoking the rights: 0.05 GRAM + network fee;
  • a launch on Uranus: the first buy + 0.1 GRAM of gas + network fee, the unspent gas comes back;
  • a launch on moon.cx: the moon.cx fee (the bot shows the current amount) + 0.2 GRAM of gas + the first buy + network fee.
