If something went wrong – errors and what to do

In short

When a trade fails, the bot almost always says why. If you see «nothing was sent», «no funds were charged» or «DEX returned», the money stayed in the wallet or came back to it; at most the network gas was charged. If it says «status unknown» or «not confirmed», check the transaction first and only then try again.

How to read a failure message​

When a swap fails, the swap card turns into «❌: The swap failed». Under it is a line with the reason (💬) and these buttons:

  • Transaction: open the transaction in an explorer and see what happened on-chain.
  • Buy and Sell: open this token's card again.
  • Hide: remove the message.

Below are the messages you may see. The numbers in the examples are made up.

The swap failed and the money came back​

  • «Slippage 2% was not enough – DEX returned +10.2477 GRAM.» While the trade was on its way, the price moved further than your slippage allows, and the DEX returned the money. Try again. For fast-moving tokens, raise the slippage with the 🍌 Slippage N% button on the token card or in ⚙️ Settings → 🍌 Slippage.
  • «The price went past the order price – DEX returned …» This is a limit order or a Take Profit: the price moved past the price you set in the order.
  • «The min tokens was not reached – DEX returned …» This is an autosnipe: at the price of the moment you would get fewer tokens than the minimum in its settings.
  • «DEX returned the funds: +… GRAM.», «DEX returned the tokens: …», «DEX did not execute the swap – the funds are back in the wallet.» The exchange did not run the swap for another reason and returned everything to the wallet. Refresh the card and try again.
  • «The contract did not accept the trade – the funds are back in the wallet.» The pool's or token's contract refused the trade, the money came back.
  • «The token has already bonded… Repeat the buy.» While your buy was on its way, the token moved from its bonding curve into a regular pool. Tap buy again: the buy now goes to the pool.

The trade went through in part​

  • «↩️ The pool returned … GRAM: the liquidity covered only part of the amount (spent … of … GRAM).» The pool had few tokens, the swap went through for part of the amount and the rest came back.
  • «↩️ The curve returned … GRAM: the bond was reached before the whole amount was spent …» The curve filled up during your buy, and the extra came back.
  • «The buy stopped at USD₮» (or «The sale stopped at USD₮»). Some tokens trade through a USD₮ pair, so the swap takes two steps. The first went through, the second did not. Instead of the token (or GRAM) the wallet now holds USD₮, and the bot shows the amount.

Not enough GRAM or tokens​

  • «Not enough GRAM: this operation needs at least … GRAM (amount + gas), the wallet has … GRAM.» Nothing was sent. Top up the wallet or lower the amount. Mind the gas: keep a little GRAM on top of the amount. If it ends with «… of it is still being charged by the previous operation», wait for the previous operation to finish.
  • «Buy failed» (or «Sale failed») with the reason «By the time it executed, the wallet did not have enough GRAM (had …, needed … + network fee). Only the gas of … was charged.» While the trade was on its way, the wallet's balance dropped, for example because of another operation. Check the balance.
  • «Not enough GRAM: the wallet had … GRAM, the trade needs … GRAM + network fee. The trade was not sent.» The same: there was not enough money and the trade did not go out.
  • «⚠️ Limit order …: wallet … has … GRAM, … needed. It fills after a top-up if the price is within the limit order.» The order is waiting. Top up the wallet and it fires if the price still fits.
  • «❌ Not enough funds: at most … on the selected wallets». In a transfer you entered more than the selected wallets hold.
  • «⚠️ No token balance (or it could not be read).», «⚠️ Too little to sell.» There is nothing to sell, or the amount is too small.
  • «The wallet has fewer tokens than needed to send – the transfer was not sent.» Lower the amount in the transfer.

The network was slow or busy​

In all of these cases there was no trade: no money was charged, except maybe the network gas. Wait a few seconds and try again.

  • «The previous operation of this wallet is not processed by the network yet – try again in a couple of seconds.»
  • «The network is not responding for now – nothing was sent, try again in a couple of seconds.»
  • «The network rejected the wallet's message (nothing was sent) – try again.»
  • «The service was overloaded – the operation was NOT sent, try again.»
  • «The signing service is restarting – nothing was sent, try again in a couple of seconds.»
  • «Could not get the price – try again in a couple of seconds.»
  • «This token's pool is still being checked – nothing was sent, try again in a couple of seconds.»
  • «The transaction did not reach the blockchain while the message was valid – no funds were charged. You can try again.»
  • «The wallet did not send the trade (the network skipped the send) – no funds were charged except the network fee.»
  • «The wallet rejected the transaction – the trade was not sent, no funds were charged (except the network fee).»

If the bot adds «meanwhile the wallet executed another operation» or mentions the sequence number (seqno), another operation left the wallet in the meantime. Check the balance and the position before you try again.

Status unknown: check first​

  • «The signer did not answer in time – the operation status is unknown. Check the wallet's transactions before trying again.»
  • «Swap result not confirmed» with «Could not confirm the result automatically – check the transaction with the button below.»
  • «⚠️ Result not confirmed – check the transactions»

The trade may have gone through. Tap Transaction or open the wallet in an explorer and see what happened. Do not repeat right away, or you may buy twice.

The card, the pool and the amount​

  • «The pool changed since the card was opened – refresh it (🔄) and try again.» Tap Refresh on the token card.
  • «This is an old card – open the token again», «The card was reloaded after a bot update: check the wallets and the slippage and tap again». Open the token again, or check your choices on the card and tap again.
  • «No liquidity pool found for this token.» There is nowhere to trade this token yet.
  • «The trade's price impact is above the allowed one.» The amount is too big for this pool, so the price impact is over the limit. Lower it.
  • «The amount is too small for this pool.» Raise the amount.
  • «The TONCO pool lacks liquidity for the whole amount – the trade was not sent, lower the amount.»
  • «❌ Set the buy amount», «❌ Set the sell amount». You are creating a limit order without an amount. Set the amount in the order.
  • «💤Unknown token». The bot could not recognise the token. If you are sure this is a mistake, write to support.
  • «Looks like a scam token – a domain is baked into its name…» This is a spam airdrop with no market. It cannot be traded; do not follow links from its name.

A wallet connected through TonConnect​

A wallet connected through TonConnect signs every operation itself. The bot sends «Confirm the transaction in …» and «The request is valid until …» with the Open … and Cancel buttons. A swap gets 2 minutes; a transfer and launcher actions get 5 minutes. The bot's fee goes in the same request, so it is charged even if the DEX later returns the money for the swap (Fees).   • «The transaction was declined in the wallet». You declined the request, nothing was sent.
  • «The wallet did not answer in time, the transaction was not sent.» Time ran out. Try again and approve sooner.
  • «The wallet is unreachable. Try again.» The wallet did not get the request. Open your wallet app and try again.
  • «First approve or decline the previous request in the wallet». One wallet handles one request at a time.
  • «Request cancelled». You tapped Cancel.
  • «The wallet approved the transaction after the cancel. Tracking it on-chain.» You approved it in the wallet after all, so the operation went out. The bot shows the result as usual.
  • «The wallet disconnected Pepegun. Connect it again to trade.» The connection was removed in the wallet itself. Connect it again.
  • «This feature is not available for wallets connected via TonConnect». Such a wallet does not work with limit orders, TP/SL, copy trading, snipes or autosnipe. It also cannot be picked together with other wallets for one trade.
  • «The wallet did not carry out the request (code …)». The wallet could not carry out the request. Try again or use another wallet app.

When connecting:

  • «The time to connect ran out. Start again.» The connect link is valid for 5 minutes.
  • «The connection was declined in the wallet». You declined the connection.
  • «Could not confirm that the wallet is yours. Connect it again.»
  • «This wallet is already added». This address is already among your wallets in the bot.
  • «This wallet does not support sending transactions». This wallet app cannot send transactions, so it cannot be connected. Pick another one.

When to contact support​

  • «The wallet key did not match the stored one – the trade was NOT signed. Contact support.» The trade did not go out. Write to support.
  • Any message that is not listed here, or a result you do not understand. Attach a screenshot of the bot's message and the transaction link.
