How to connect a wallet to Pepegun via TonConnect

In short

TonConnect lets you trade in Pepegun with your own wallet without entering a seed phrase. The phrase stays only in your wallet app, and you approve every trade and every transfer there.

How it works​

You link the bot to your wallet app. When you tap buy, sell or send, the bot prepares the transaction and sends it to the app for approval. You open the wallet, check and approve. Nothing goes out without your approval.

What works with such a wallet: trading, transfers and the token launcher.

What doesn't: limit orders, TP/SL, copy trading, snipes and autosnipe. Those features act on their own, without you, while a TonConnect wallet needs your approval for every action. For automation, add a regular wallet: create or import one.

Which wallets you can connect​

Telegram Wallet, Keeper, My Wallet and Gram Wallet.

Connect a wallet​

1. Open TonConnect​

👛 Wallets → TonConnect (the blue button under «Create wallet» and «Import»). The bot opens the «Connect via TonConnect» screen: a short note on what such a wallet can do, and the app buttons.

2. Pick your app​

Tap your wallet. The bot shows a button such as Open Keeper and says «The link is valid for 5 min.»

The link is only for you. Don't send it to anyone.

3. Approve in the app​

Tap the button: your wallet app opens. Approve the connection and come back to the chat with the bot.

4. Done​

The bot's message changes to «✅ Wallet … connected» and the wallet card. The «Version» line shows TonConnect and the app name. In the wallet list, such a wallet is marked with 📎.

How to approve trades​

When you buy, sell or send coins from a TonConnect wallet, the bot sends «🚀 Confirm the transaction in …». It shows:

  • which wallet and what exactly: for example, a token buy for 1 GRAM and roughly how much you get;
  • until what time the request is valid (UTC);
  • the Open … button (opens the app) and Cancel.

Open the app, check and approve. After approval, the message turns into the usual trade or transfer card.

How long a request is valid:

  • buy and sell: 2 minutes;
  • a transfer and launcher actions: 5 minutes.

Good to know​

  • One request at a time. While the previous request is waiting for an answer, a new one from this wallet won't go out.
  • On its own only. A TonConnect wallet can't be picked together with other wallets for one trade or transfer. If you pick it, the others are unselected. «Select all» skips it.
  • Sending 100 % of GRAM from a TonConnect wallet leaves 0.05 GRAM in it.
  • No seed phrase in the bot. Such a wallet has no Seed phrase button.
  • Limit. A TonConnect wallet counts toward the common limit of 10 wallets.
  • «Cancel» in the bot does not pull the request from the app. If you change your mind, decline the request in the wallet too. If the wallet still approves it later, the bot says «The wallet approved the transaction after the cancel. Tracking it on-chain».

Disconnect a wallet​

Open the wallet card, tap Disconnect and confirm. The bot warns: «The wallet … will be disconnected and removed from the bot. The funds stay in the wallet itself.»

If you disconnect Pepegun inside the wallet app, the bot says «The wallet disconnected Pepegun. Connect it again to trade». The wallet stays in your list. Connect it again with the same steps: the bot recognises the same address and links it to that wallet again, even if your 10-wallet limit is already full.

Troubleshooting​

  • «The connection was declined in the wallet». You declined the connection in the app. Start again.
  • «The time to connect ran out. Start again». The link is valid for 5 minutes. Tap Back and pick your wallet again.
  • «Could not confirm that the wallet is yours. Connect it again». Repeat the connection.
  • «This wallet is already added». This address is already in the bot as a regular wallet (created or imported).
  • «This wallet does not support sending transactions». Pick another app.
  • «The transaction was declined in the wallet». You declined the request. Nothing was sent.
  • «The wallet did not answer in time, the transaction was not sent». The request expired. Repeat the action in the bot.
  • «First approve or decline the previous request in the wallet». Answer the previous request in the app, then try again.
  • «This feature is not available for wallets connected via TonConnect». This feature works with regular wallets only. You also see this message when you pick a TonConnect wallet together with others: the bot keeps only one wallet selected.
  • «The wallet is unreachable. Try again». A temporary connection problem with the app. Try again in a few seconds.
