Managing your token: mint more, edit, revoke rights

In short

While your wallet holds the token's admin rights, you can mint new tokens and change the name, ticker, description and picture. Whenever you want, you can give up the rights forever, so the supply can never grow again.

How it works​

Every standard token has admin rights: they allow minting more (what is minting) and changing the token's data. When you create a token in the launcher, the rights go to the wallet you created it from. Every action below is sent from that wallet and costs a little GRAM.

Only standard tokens can be managed. Tokens on moon.cx and Uranus are controlled by the platform itself.

How to open the token's screen​

🚀 Launcher → 🔎 My deploys → the button with the token's ticker, for example 🪙 $PEPE. Or tap ⚙️ Manage in the «Token created» message.

What the screen shows:

  • The token's picture, ticker and name (the name opens the explorer), and its address.
  • Supply: how many tokens exist right now.
  • Decimals and Description.
  • Admin rights: «yours» (and which wallet), «held by another address» or «revoked».
  • LP: the exchange where the token has a pool, or «none».

Every time you open the screen, the bot reads the token's data from the network again. If the network does not answer, the line «The network did not answer just now, the data is from the last check» appears at the bottom.

Buttons:

  • 💵 Mint more: issue more tokens.
  • ✏️ Edit: change the name, ticker, description or picture.
  • ⚠️ Revoke rights: give up control forever.
  • ✅ Verify on tonapi: check whether you can apply for verification.
  • 🧾 Open token: the token's card for trading.

The first three buttons appear only if the rights belong to the wallet you created the token from and that wallet is still in the bot.

Mint more tokens​

  1. Tap 💵 Mint more.
  2. Send a number, for example 1000000.
  3. The bot shows «Mint 1 000 000 PEPE to W1» and the amount to be charged.
  4. Tap ✅ Confirm.

The new tokens go to the wallet the token was created from. Cost: 0.1 GRAM + network fee.

Change the name, ticker, description or picture​

  1. Tap ✏️ Edit.
  2. Choose what to change: 🧾 Name, 🪙 Ticker, 🐸 Description or 🔓 Picture.
  3. Send the new value. You can remove the description with No description.
  4. Check it and tap ✅ Confirm.

Each change costs 0.05 GRAM + network fee. The rules are the same as at creation: the name up to 64 characters, the ticker up to 16 with no spaces, the description up to 500, the picture PNG, JPEG or WebP from 64×64. The decimals of a created token cannot be changed.

Revoke the rights​

This is forever

After revoking, nobody, you included, can mint more of the token or change its name, ticker, description and picture. This cannot be undone.

  1. Tap ⚠️ Revoke rights. The bot shows a warning.
  2. Tap ⚠️ Revoke rights again.
  3. On the last screen tap Yes, revoke forever.

Cost: 0.05 GRAM + network fee. Afterwards the «Admin rights» line says «revoked» and the management buttons disappear.

Verification on tonapi​

The ✅ Verify on tonapi button shows how many holders the token has. Verification needs at least 100 holders. Once there are 100 or more, the bot says you will be able to apply here later. The application itself cannot be sent through the bot yet.

Good to know​

  • Costs: minting 0.1 GRAM, each data change 0.05 GRAM, revoking the rights 0.05 GRAM. The network fee comes on top of each.
  • At every step the bot shows a confirmation screen. Nothing is sent until you tap ✅ Confirm. Changed your mind: tap ⬅️ Cancel.
  • After sending, the bot writes «Sent, waiting for the network to confirm…» and refreshes the token's screen by itself once the change is on the network.
  • If you remove from the bot the wallet the token was created from, you can no longer manage the token from the bot.

If something goes wrong​

«This value is already set.» The token already has this value. Send a different one.

«The token's admin rights are held by another address.» / «The token's admin rights are already revoked.» This token cannot be managed from the bot: the rights belong to another wallet or no longer exist.

«This token's wallet was removed from the bot» The wallet the token was created from has been removed from the bot. Management is not available.

«The operation was not confirmed on the network. Check the wallet's balance and try again.» Most often the wallet ran short of GRAM. Top it up and repeat.

«The network is not responding right now. Open the token later, the data will update.» The bot did not get an answer from the network in time. Open the token's screen a bit later.

«Already in progress» The previous action has not finished yet. Wait.
