A liquidity pool for your token

In short

A pool lets people buy and sell your token for GRAM. In the launcher a pool takes a couple of steps right from the token's screen: you put your tokens and GRAM into it and set the starting price yourself.

How it works

A pool is a contract on an exchange that holds two assets: your token and GRAM. Buyers swap GRAM for the token and back, and the price depends on how much of each sits in the pool. At the start you set the price: how much GRAM you put in for how many tokens.

For the liquidity you put in, you get LP: your share of the pool. You can keep it (then you can take the liquidity back) or give it up forever (burn the LP on STON.fi, lock the liquidity on DeDust).

Pools can be created only for standard tokens created in the launcher. Tokens on moon.cx and Uranus get their pool on the platform itself.

Step by step

1. Open the token's screen

🚀 Launcher → 🔎 My deploys → the token → 📊 Create a pool.

If the token has no pool on either STON.fi or DeDust yet, the bot asks «Where to create the pool?»: pick 🗿 STON.fi or ⏳ DeDust.

2. Set the tokens and GRAM

  • 🪙 Tokens: how many of your tokens go into the pool. A number or a percent of your balance, for example 500000000 or 50%. The prompt has quick buttons 5%, 10%, 20%, 50%, 100%. Short forms work too: 2K, 1.5M, 1B.
  • 💎 GRAM: how much GRAM to put in, for example 10.

Once both amounts are set, the bot shows the starting rate both ways (1 GRAM = … tokens and 1 token = … GRAM, roughly in $) and, for STON.fi, the starting market cap.

3. Choose what happens to the liquidity

STON.fi:

  • LP to me (the default): the LP tokens go to your wallet, you can take the liquidity back.
  • Burn LP: the LP goes to the zero address and the liquidity stays in the pool forever. Nobody, you included, can take it out.

DeDust:

  • The pool fee: 0.4%, 1% (the default) or 5%. It is charged on every swap in the pool.
  • To me (the default): you can take the liquidity back.
  • Lock forever: the liquidity can never be taken out, but the pool fees go to you.

4. Confirm

Tap the green 📊 Create a pool and check the confirmation screen: what you put into the pool, the starting rate and how much GRAM leaves the wallet. Then tap ✅ Confirm on STON.fi or ✅ Create a pool on DeDust. If you chose to give up the liquidity, the button is called ✅ Create and burn LP or ✅ Create and lock.

The bot shows «Creating the pool…» and, once the network confirms, «The $PEPE pool is created» with the amounts in the pool and the rate. On DeDust this takes two steps: first the pool itself is created, then the liquidity is added. The bot does both by itself.

After the pool is created

The «LP» line on the token's screen shows the pool's state. Buttons:

  • ⬅️ Take the liquidity back (STON.fi) or ⬅️ Take the DeDust liquidity back: the tokens and GRAM return to the wallet at the pool's current price. Only when the liquidity is not burned or locked.
  • ⚠️ Burn LP (STON.fi): burn the LP you hold. This is forever, the bot asks you to confirm with ⚠️ Burn forever.
  • 💎 Claim the DeDust fees: collect the pool fees that have built up.
  • ⬅️ Get the funds back or ⬅️ Get the funds back from DeDust: if the pool was not created and part of the funds stayed on the exchange, you can return them to the wallet.

Good to know

  • Gas on top. Besides the GRAM for the pool, gas leaves the wallet: up to 0.61 GRAM on STON.fi and up to 0.75 GRAM on DeDust. The unspent part comes back. Taking the liquidity back: gas up to 0.8 GRAM on STON.fi and up to 0.15 GRAM on DeDust.
  • One pool per exchange. If the token already has a STON.fi pool, the bot offers only DeDust, and the other way round.
  • Supply first. While the token's supply is not minted, a pool cannot be created.
  • You set the price. The more GRAM for the same number of tokens, the higher the starting price.

If something goes wrong

«Set how many tokens to put into the pool» / «Set how much GRAM to put into the pool» Fill in both amounts.

«Not enough GRAM: … needed with the gas, … in the wallet» Top up the wallet or lower the GRAM amount.

«The wallet holds fewer tokens: …» Lower the number of tokens.

«The token already has a pool on STON.fi.» / «The token already has a pool on DeDust.» There is already a pool on this exchange.

«The amounts are too small for a pool.» Increase the amounts.

«STON.fi is not taking new pools right now. Try again later.» A temporary limit on the exchange's side.

«The DeDust pool is not ready yet. Try again in a minute.» Wait a minute and repeat.

«The … pool was not created. STON.fi could not take the deposit at this price…» The tokens and GRAM are waiting on the exchange. Tap ⬅️ Get the funds back.

«The … liquidity was not added. Part of the funds waits in DeDust…» Tap ⬅️ Get the funds back.

«The pool was not created: the network did not confirm the send. The tokens and GRAM stayed in the wallet.» Nothing is lost, try again.
