How to change the Pepegun bot language

In short

The bot speaks Russian and English. At first it follows your Telegram language, and you can change it in ⚙️ Settings → 🌐 Language.

How the bot picks the language​

  1. If you chose a language in the settings, the bot uses it.
  2. If you didn't, the bot looks at your Telegram app language. Telegram in Russian: the bot writes in Russian. Any other language: in English.
  3. If Telegram doesn't tell the bot your language, it writes in Russian.

How to change the language​

  1. Open ⚙️ Settings in the main menu (or send /settings).
  2. Tap 🌐 Language: it is in the bottom row, to the right of Back.
  3. On the «Choose your language» screen, tap 🇬🇧 English or Русский. The current language is marked with ✅.

The screen redraws in the new language right away. From then on, the bot writes to you in it, notices included. A notice may still come in the old language for up to a minute.

Good to know​

  • Token names, tickers, addresses and numbers are not translated. The GRAM coin is called GRAM in both languages.
  • The command list Telegram shows behind the «/» button follows your Telegram language: Russian for Telegram in Russian, English for everything else.
